Funny things my girls have said . . .

Whenever I take the girls to the park, they only ever want to be pushed on the swings. I have to MAKE them go play on the slides and other stuff. Well, a couple weeks ago (I don't update my blog very quickly), I was pushing Kate and Avery on the swing, and after pushing Kate kind of high, she started laughing and then told me that her stomach was starving. I asked her to repeat herself since I wasn't sure of what she had said, and sure enough, she told me her tummy was starving. I guess this was the only way she knew how to describe the funny feeling in her stomach. I thought it was cute.

Two days ago, we were visiting my parents in Orem, and Avery went to nursery in their ward. In contrast to our ward, my parent's ward only had a handful of kids in nursery. What the nursery leaders told us later was this: The group was singing "I love to see the Temple" when Avery got real excited and interruped everyone, making them stop, so she could tell them all that she was going to get married in the temple. I'm surprised they could understand her! That's our Avery, though. She's obsessed with getting married in the temple. Every day, and today was no exception, she tells me, "See ya, mom." When I ask where she's going, she replies, "Get married in the temple!" Sometimes she'll add, "I be right back." Usually she's dressed up in her fancy, princess clothes. If you ask her who she's going to marry, she says, "My prince!" Kate will usually remind her that she can't marry her prince until she's 20. I told Kate that you don't have to be 20 to get married, and that I was 23 when I got married. She thought that was pretty old and decided to stick to getting married at 20.

Love it! Kids say the most precious things. I love that Avery is always saying she is going to get married in the temple. Too cute! Funny that Kate thinks 23 is too old.

I love the things my kids come up with. It is one of the best parts of being a mom. I just wish I was better at recording them so we could all have a good chuckle later in life!

That is so cute! So good that you write them down. I need to do that more. It sounds like you have sweet, amazing daughters!

I love those girls! Good for Avery! And leave it to the OLDER sister to try to make sure the younger one knows all the details about "getting married in the temple." I wonder why she picked 20?

How fun a house full of girls. I love Kate's description, Liv like Avery can't wait to get married in the temple, and she is marrying Daddy there. She told me I already married daddy so it is her turn!
