I'm not the only one who does this!

So, some of you probably know by now that I'm not the best housekeeper. I'll usually look for other things to do first before I clean my house, unless it really starts looking bad - then I get busy. (We don't live in filth - we just can tolerate a little mess.) I like to know when people are coming by so I can make sure it doesn't look like a disaster when they walk in. If I've procrastinated and realize I don't have enough time to really clean like I should before company arrives, I've done the mad dash to shove all the toys and clothes behind bedroom doors and shut them. That fools people, right? I've gotten pretty good at "fakin it", and I didn't know if I was the only one who did this, but then I read this article, and I had to smile in recognition. So if you do have a chance to spend some time at my house, and you even get past the closed bedroom doors, and things look pretty decent behind them, well you should feel pretty special, because not everyone gets the "every room clean" treatment, not even us most of the time.

That is totally me! Everyone and Anyone with kids does this! But how often do you just show up at your neighbors house every day in a row to see if they are the same.. never.. it's just an untold fact of life clean when you can and don't when you don't need to ! LOL that made my day!

I like to invite people over just because I know it will make me clean up the mess. What is wrong with a little motivation, right? By the way, you guys should come for a playdate sometime!

Ok, now I have to make a surprise visit because I am curious to know what your house looks like. Jk. PS I added you as a friend on good reads!

Oh, the best... if you have dirty dishes... shove them in your stove, then people really wont see it, because who opens someone elses stove? No one!!! tee hee! (a little trick I learned from my sister Sharla.) I am super jealous that you can tolerate a little bit of mess... I really think I'm obsessive compulsive. My entire house can be spotless but I might have like 5 dishes in the sink, and it drives me crazy until those 5 dishes are washed. My mom said that should change once I have more kids... I sure hope so.

I wouldn't expect the "every room clean" treatment (because that is asking a LOT) but I have decided that that is actually a compliment and commentary on how comfortable you feel with me! Or maybe you just know my house looks like that too!
